Swimming Pool Shift Leader

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of an energetic team, leading assigned shifts with clear direction and plenty of motivation. You’ll inspire the team to provide fantastic guest experiences and high‑quality standards, and maintain safety, compliance, and company policy. You will:
* Lead and support the team by assigning tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and motivating the team to deliver excellent service.
* Enforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe and enjoyable environment.
* Conduct regular safety inspections of pool equipment and facilities.
* Provide prompt, professional guest service, addressing complaints and special requests.
* Assist in training new team members on company policies and procedures.
* Participate in team duties while stepping up as shift leader when assigned.
Requirements
Experience as a Senior Lifeguard, Team Leader, or Supervisor in a leisure, sports or activities setting is preferred. Required skills include:
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Highly detail‑oriented with a commitment to thorough safety checks, ensuring full compliance with all safety guidelines.
* Ability to maintain focus and act quickly in emergency situations.
* Commitment to high‑quality, customer‑focused service.
* Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
* Ability to undergo and satisfactorily complete an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
Preferred Qualifications
* National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ).
* National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
* Swimming Pool Technical Operator Qualification (SPTO).
* National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Training Assessor (NPLQ TA).
