Location: Office-based, in Milton Keynes Contract: Full-time, Permanent Number of vacancies: 3 Salary : £35,000 - £38,000 Role Overview: We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic Senior Commercial Analyst to support our Amazon Category Manager in driving business growth for a complex category with roughly 3,000 SKUs. This role combines commercial insight, data analysis, and e-commerce expertise to inform pricing, promotions, inventory planning, and category strategy. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Amazon or e-commerce analytics, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to work with large, complex datasets to deliver actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Category & Business Analysis Monitor and analyse sales performance, profitability, pricing, promotions, and inventory across ~3,000 SKUs. Identify trends, growth opportunities, and risks to support strategic decision-making. Provide actionable insights to improve category performance, including revenue, margin, and market share. 2. Pricing & Promotions Analyse pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and competitor activity. Recommend adjustments to optimise sales, margins, and ROAS for campaigns. Support planning and evaluation of deals, discounts, and promotional programs. 3. E-commerce & Amazon Expertise Work closely with the Category Manager and PPC/Marketing teams to analyse Amazon-specific metrics (ACoS, TACoS, CTR, CVR, etc.) and campaign performance. Evaluate listing performance, product visibility, and conversion rates to support listing optimisation strategies. Collaborate on inventory planning and demand forecasting, linking commercial insights to operational planning. 4. Reporting & Data Visualisation Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analyses to track category performance. Provide senior management with clear, data-driven insights and recommendations. Continuously optimize reporting processes and tools to handle large, complex datasets. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with PPC specialists, demand planners, commercial strategists, and listing teams to drive aligned, data-backed strategies. Support the Category Manager in translating commercial insights into actionable category initiatives. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a commercial analyst or business analyst in e-commerce, ideally Amazon. Experience handling large SKU portfolios (1,000 SKUs; ideally ~3,000 SKUs) with complex data sets. Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel, pivot tables, data visualisation, and reporting tools. Solid understanding of e-commerce KPIs, Amazon metrics, pricing, promotions, and profitability analysis. Ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights. Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work across multiple teams. Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
