The daily duties of the frying range engineer will be as follows.
· To travel the country repairing and servicing frying ranges manufactured by Henry Nuttall Ltd
· This will include stripping, fault finding and replacing of parts from your vans stock.
This will include such things as gas burners and controllers.
· Sometimes heavy parts will require replacing these will need to be collected from base. And a two-man visit will be arranged.
· The position will include early starts due to working in shops that will open at lunch times to serve customers.
· If for any reason, there are no breakdowns or services planned. You will be expected to go back to base and replenish stock and assist with any issues there.
· You will be shadowing a very experienced engineer to start until both of you are happy that you can perform your duties alone.
· Good communication with the customer is key.
· Your work will be organised by the servicing manager.
Requirements for the role.
· Due to the gas blower aspect of the ranges a gas qualification is required for natural gas and lpg.
· Due to the ranges having their own electrical system, a knowledge of Wiring systems including lights, heaters, and control systems.
· You will have a Premier inn card for booking overnight stays.
· A suitable van will be provided with a fuel card. Full UK driving license is essential.
· All tools will be provided.
· If you are sent on a training course and leave the company. The full cost of that course will be taken from your wages if you leave within 12 months of attending. This then reduces to 50% after 12 months to 0% after 24months.
