Overview
We are looking for a Senior Energy Systems Engineer to take technical ownership of grid-connected energy storage systems across the UK & Ireland. This is a hands-on, senior technical role focused on commissioning support, system performance, fault diagnosis, and lifecycle reliability rather than people management. Youll work closely with service, operations, and commercial teams, acting as a trusted technical advisor and ensuring energy storage assets are safe, compliant, and performing as intended.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced technical support for energy storage and power systems
* Support commissioning, handover, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation
* Act as a technical escalation point for complex electrical and system issues
* Ensure compliance with grid, safety, and regulatory requirements
* Support service partners and internal field engineers
* Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and best practice
Candidate Profile
* Background in electrical engineering, power systems, or energy technologies
* Experience with grid-connected assets (renewables, power generation, BESS, CHP, EV infrastructure, or similar)
* Comfortable working in site-based, operational environments
* Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
* Looking for technical depth and ownership without a heavy management remit
