HSE Technician
Basingstoke
Lavazza Professional is seeking a proactive HSE Technician to partner with our HSE Manager in delivering safety, environmental, and compliance performance across our Basingstoke sites and field-based teams.

About the Role
Lavazza Professional is seeking a proactive HSE Technician to partner with our HSE Manager in delivering safety, environmental, and compliance performance across our Basingstoke sites and field-based teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Own and maintain the Occupational Health, Safety, Energy, and Environmental Management System (OHSEE), ensuring up-to-date policies, procedures, risk assessments, and compliance.
· Oversee the audit schedule, drive corrective/preventative actions, and perform safety/environmental inspections.
· Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution and escalation.
· Support ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards, liaise in internal and external audits.
· Design, review, and deliver HSE training (e.g. new starter inductions, COSHH, manual handling, workplace transport, Waste management etc.).
· Lead small-scale HSE/environmental projects and promote a positive safety culture via briefings, initiatives, and communications.
· Coach and develop health and safety representatives; deputise for the HSE Manager when required.
· Build strong relationships across the business, influencing management and stakeholders.
· Champion Lavazza’s values with clear communication and promoting positive behavioural standards.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
· NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety - Essential
· IEMA Foundation in Environmental Management - Preferred
· Proven experience with ISO45001 & ISO14001 systems and ISO audit processes - Preferred
· Skilled in risk assessments, incident investigations, and HSE advisory - Essential
