HEAD CHEF OPPORTUNITY!! - CONTRACT CATERING

We have fantastic opportunity to join our well established team in Leeds

40 Hours per week up to £35,000 per annum

Predominantly Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and the occasional evening shift (19:30 to 03:30) to support and coach the night shift

This rare opportunity to join us within a growing B&I contract. We require a seasoned head chef with B&I experience in-depth training and induction plan provided

Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and innovative Head Chef to join our culinary team in Leeds, United Kingdom. As the Head Chef, you will lead our kitchen operations, inspire creativity, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.

17. Lead, inspire, and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
18. Develop and implement innovative menu concepts, considering seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
19. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food quality controls
20. Train and mentor kitchen staff, enhancing their skills and promoting professional growth
21. Collaborate with management to establish pricing, portion sizes, and cost-effective menu strategies
22. Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain optimal ingredient freshness
23. Conduct regular menu tastings and refine dishes based on customer feedback and market trends
24. Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation by monitoring all dishes before service
25. Implement and maintain proper HACCP food handling and safety practices
26. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of meals
27. Participate in management meetings to discuss menu updates, specials, and customer feedback
28. Stay updated on the latest culinary techniques and industry trends to continually improve kitchen operations

Qualifications

29. Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-level culinary position
30. Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role in a professional kitchen
31. Strong leadership and team management skills
32. Excellent organizational and planning abilities
33. Creative approach to menu development and food presentation
34. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards
35. Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory control systems
36. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
37. Ability to remain calm and tactful in high-pressure situations
38. Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
39. Cultural awareness and sensitivity in a diverse work setting
40. Demonstrated sound work ethics and professional integrity
41. Team player mentality with a customer-focused approach
42. Passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning
