We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join the Primary Care Nurse Team at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. The role involves overseeing patient flow and ensuring compliance with Practice Plus Group protocols and prison policies. The nurse will be based within the healthcare department and prison wing work will also be required.

Working Hours
* Monday – Sunday service, 37.5 hours per week
* Weekdays – 6.45 am to 6.15 pm or 8.15 pm
* Weekends – 7.45 am to 6.15 pm or 8.15 pm (alternate weekends)
* Night shifts as and when required but rarely
* 4‑week rolling rota
Responsibilities
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
* Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group, supported by a multidisciplinary team.
* Provide evidence‑based care, seek, listen to and act on patient feedback to personalise care.
* Deliver non‑judgmental care that makes a real difference.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders.
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
* Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care and build strong multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (Adult) – NMC registered.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Understanding of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working complexities.
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Preferred experience in hospital, community or prison environment.
Salary
You will receive an annual salary between £34,428 and £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.
