We are looking for an experienced administrator to join us at Cleckheaton Group Practice. The successful candidate should ideally have SystmOne experience and have worked in a GP practice for a minimum of one year. You will answer thetelephone and liaise with patients mainly over the phone. The main role of theposition is to deal with all of the administrative duties associated withGeneral Practice, including prescriptions, scanning, QOF, GP rotas, and reception work. The hours are quite specific in order to cover the site forall of the hours we are open. If you have worked in general practice or primarycare before that would be useful but it is not essential all of the trainingwill be given.

The post is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Administrator and Office Clerk. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will depend on factors such as workload and staffing levels as directed by the Practice Manager and Partners.
a. Carry out administrative duties associated with working in a busy office environment.
b. To use the telephone to call patients and take inbound calls from patients in the admin office.
c. Book, change and cancel appointments for patients in line with current arrangements.
d. Deal with things, like prescription requests, patient registrations, patient signposting and carrying out duties as requested by the Practice Manager, and Partners
e. To work with other team members and support the practice operationally. This may included things like scanning, coding, referrals and general office duties.
