A Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in York (ages 11–18) is seeking a passionate and energetic Music Teacher (ECT) to join their Creative Arts Department. The Role As a Music ECT, you will: • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to support GCSE coursework. • Deliver practical lessons that develop performance, composition and listening skills. • Lead or support extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands or ensembles. • Contribute to concerts, productions, music clubs and enrichment events. • Receive comprehensive mentoring and training during your ECT induction. Requirements • Completing a PGCE or equivalent and holding QTS. • Strong musical background (instrumental or vocal). • Passion for inspiring young musicians and fostering creativity. • Strong organisation and classroom management skills. • A positive, enthusiastic and reflective attitude.
