Offer description

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Claystone School. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs.

You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be responsible for managing an occupational therapy caseload, with full support from your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation as needed.

Location

Claystone School - Bedfordshire LU1 4LL - Claystone School is part of Options Autism, an independent specialist day school supporting children aged 4-11.


Minimum Requirements

1. Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
2. Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
3. Registered member of RCOT
4. Relevant experience in similar settings (preferred)
5. Experience with neurodivergent individuals and/or those with learning, socio-emotional, or mental health difficulties
6. Strong knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence
7. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams (preferred)
8. Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently
9. Clear report writing skills
10. Full UK driving license and access to a car
11. Interest or training in sensory integration (preferred but not essential)

Additional Details

* Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
* Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE
* Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility
* Contract: Permanent, with options for term-time only or full-time based on personal circumstances
