Strategic Development Program Trainee
Location: Cranbrook, BC
Our client is a leading national wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products to the construction industry in Canada. As a Sales Development Program Trainee, you will progress through a 5-phase program to learn every aspect of the business, from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management, to employee development. You will receive guidance and mentorship from current managers and teammates across Canada to build a successful management career.
Program Outline
1. Phase 1: Warehouse Logistics – Learn about the products and the process from vendor to customer.
2. Phase 2: Counter Sales – Engage in customer service, order management, inventory, pricing, and credit controls.
3. Phase 3: Inside Sales – Assist customers with service issues, manage large projects, read blueprints, and prepare quotes.
4. Phase 4: Outside Sales/Account Management – Find new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and build relationships.
5. Phase 5: Supervisor – Lead a team, mentor others, and run the business with strategic vision.
Upon completing the training, you will be prepared to take on management roles at one of their Canadian branches.
