SALARY: £30,000 - £44,000 - Competitive
LOCATION: Cambridgeshire

My client is looking for a Paralegal/Private Client Fee Earner to join a team and handle a varied caseload of wills, probate, trusts, inheritance tax, and estate planning matters.You will work closely with the senior solicitors and provide high-quality legal services to their diverse and loyal client base.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Managing your caseload of private client matters, including wills, trusts, probate, inheritance tax and estate planning. Also, building relationships with clients, providing legal advice, and ensuring efficient case management ultimately contribute to the profitability of the firm.
Responsibilities:
* Caseload Management: Manage a diverse caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), and estate administration.
* Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Meeting and greeting clients face to face.
* Legal Advice: Provide expert legal advice on private client matters, ensuring clients understand the implications of their decisions.
* Document Drafting: Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, and LPAs.
* Case Management: Manage the progress of cases efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept informed.
* Financial Management: Obtain payments on account of costs, keep clients advised of fees, and submit interim and final bills.
* Business Development: Contribute to the firm's business development efforts by networking and engaging with external contacts.
* Teamwork: Work effectively with other members of the team to ensure efficient and coordinated case management.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of private client law, at least 2/3 years including wills, trusts, and probate.
* Client Care: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client care skills.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Business Acumen: Understanding of the firm's financial goals and ability to contribute to the profitability of the department.
* Adaptability: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
