We are looking for a Lead Service Engineer, based in Sizewell, to oversee and support the delivery of high-quality generator servicing and repair work across the region.
Responsibilities
* Lead site operations, managing a team of engineers
* Coordinate with internal teams including Operations, Yard, Hire Desk, Service Administration, and Stores to ensure smooth execution of all tasks
* Service, maintain, and repair generators up to 1,500 kVA
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across a wide range of equipment
* Support field-based engineers with complex or escalated on-site issues
* Attend customer sites for maintenance, breakdown response, and commissioning
* Ensure all work meets health, safety, and company quality standards
* Mix of workshop and field-based responsibilities
* Analyze frequent equipment failures and propose preventive actions
* Ensure Aggreko\'s QHSE standards are consistently applied across all workstreams
* Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30, with occasional weekend work; on call as per rota
Qualifications
* City & Guilds Level 3 (electrical/mechanical) or equivalent qualification
* Strong background in generator servicing and electrical fault finding
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a small team
* Able to work independently and collaboratively
* Understanding of AC and DC power, 3-phase systems, and components
* Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs
* Strong organizational, planning, and team leadership skills
* Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and resilience in a fast-paced, 24/7 service environment
* Full UK driving licence
