Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Planned Works Team. The successful candidate will provide a variety of electrical services, including testing, installation, and repairs, working in customers' homes, vacant properties, and care facilities.
Working for our Home Maintenance Team, you will uphold high standards and deliver excellent customer care under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This role is mobile, with an operating base at our maintenance depot in Ecclesfield, Sheffield, offering flexibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
Salary and Benefits
* Starting salary at £34,837 for a 37-hour week, increasing to £37,325 after probation
* Incremental salary progression up to £36,593 over five years
* Additional multi-skill bonus of £1,239 annually, paid monthly
* Matching pension contributions up to 5%
* 37-hour workweek, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, including 4 additional days

Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the HMT Electrical Supervisor, you will work independently or in a small team to carry out electrical installations, testing, repairs, and remedial works in customer homes and buildings maintained by SYHA. You will aim for high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation & AM2 or equivalent
* Level 3 BS 7671: 2018 compliance
* Level 3 2391-52 Inspection and Testing or equivalent
* Desirable: JIB/ECS Card
* Problem-solving skills and ability to advise clients
* Flexibility and capability to perform minor repairs across trades
* Full driving license with confidence to operate fleet vehicles
* Knowledge of digital work solutions and online applications
