The below job description will outline this position of: Project Manager
Typically, this person will oversee and coordinate complex engineering and vessel support projects, ensuring all technical activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales and budgets. The role will involve managing project teams, liaising with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with engineering and operational standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager:
* Manage and coordinate engineering and technical projects from initial planning through to final completion.
* Lead project teams to ensure technical activities and deliverables are completed successfully and on schedule.
* Develop project plans, schedules, and work packages to support operational requirements.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, OEMs, and internal departments to ensure effective project delivery.
* Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation to achieve commercial and operational targets.
* Ensure all engineering solutions, upgrades, and modifications are delivered to the required quality and compliance standards.
* Support change management processes, cost estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project updates.
* Attend customer and stakeholder meetings as the lead representative for the business.
* Assist with commercial activities including invoicing support and subcontractor negotiations.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety procedures and statutory regulations.
* Track and report on project KPIs and overall team performance.
* Maintain awareness of current engineering standards, legislation, and industry best practice.
* Provide additional operational or technical support duties as required.
Qualifications and requirements for the Project Manager:
* Previous experience in Project Management or Contract Management within marine, defence, engineering, or heavy industrial sectors.
* HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience managing multiple technical projects and cross-functional teams.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or APM preferred.
* Competent user of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
* Understanding of engineering compliance, safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Experience working within highly regulated technical environments would be advantageous.
* Security clearance eligibility may be required for this role.
