Role Overview:
As a Service Charge Accountant, you'll work with a talented team committed to driving financial improvement, scalability, and customer experience. Supporting a large property management team, your role will be varied and challenging.
You will prepare client service charge accounts for a portfolio of properties, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and service level agreements, while proactively partnering with Property teams.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills and experience, with support for studying or qualifications.

What will you do?
* Produce annual service charge accounts with key budget holders and external auditors, complying with legislation and industry standards.
* Provide high-quality quarterly service charge reporting with variance analysis.
* Partner with Property teams to ensure clear account commentary for customer understanding.
* Attend meetings with stakeholders to share information and resolve account queries.
* Coordinate with external parties, including auditors and directors.
* Perform weekly/monthly reconciliations using property management systems to ensure accurate data for year-end accounts.
* Resolve internal and external queries within SLA deadlines, suggesting process improvements where appropriate.
* Support the Service Charge Manager with late accounts and customer documentation requests.

* Good time management and independence in managing deadlines.
* IT proficiency, especially in Excel (advanced) and finance systems.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* AAT, CIMA, or QBE qualifications.
* Experience in service charge accounting.
* Experience in the property industry.
