Established c35 years ago the provide full testing, analysis and expert interpretation for clients across various industries including Automotive and Aerospace.With their forensic engineering and materials consultancy, they can provide clients with insights and technical solutions which positions them as a trusted partner to some of the UK's most prestigious Blue-chip manufacturers.Due to their growth plan, they are now looking for a Sales Engineer to join the team.The RoleThe Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing the client based. Utilising their onsite lab, they work with any product manufacturers with a need for their materials to be tested.This is a very consultative Sales role so an interest or some experience in building relationships and selling a technical service and solution is required.Responsibilities of the role will include; 80% new business development – generating RFQs for services.Discussing materials testing services with prospective clients to understand solutions you can provide to their problemsLiaising with the inhouse technical testing laboratory for technical details required for quotes.New business channels will include trade shows, linked in research, marketing leads, general company listsYou will be targeting both SME and larger Blue Chip customersTypical target points of contact will be engineering, quality and testing departments.Attending customer visits 1-2 days per week to discuss requirements and which services can be provided – a pool car will be provided for customer visits The CandidateTo be successful in your application for this Sales Engineer role you will need: A supporting engineering qualificationTo have a desire to win new businessStrong relationship and business development skillsSomeone with an appetite for success who would feel comfortable working to targetsSomeone who is happy to travel to client sites and work in a client facing rolePrevious experience in a technical sales role The BenefitsFor this Graduate or Sales Engineer role, the following benefits are on offer: £45,000 – 50,000 plus circa 10% CommissionBenefits: Private healthcare, Company pension, Pool car for site visits, 23 days holiday + Bank holidays + Birthday off!
