An exciting opportunity has arisen within Wakefield Council's Children's Services for a Short Break Registered Manager. The Ofsted registered home forms part of Wakefield Council's wider SEND offer, and is currently rated GOOD. We are looking for a motivated and inspirational leader who can continue the journey to achieving outstanding outcomes for thechildren within our care. Star House provides planned and sometimes emergency short break for up to 7 children with complex health, learning, physical and or sensory needs. Children may also present challenging behaviours.
Applicants should have a good understanding of the Children's Homes Standards and Regulations 2015 and the inspection framework.(SCCIF) Within the last 5 years applicants should have at least 2 years experience of working with children and young people, and at least 1 years experience of working at a senior level. Applicants should be at least qualified to Diploma level 3 in children and young people and or equivalent, and be willing to undertake the Diploma Level 5 qualification within 2 years of commencing the position.
