Setting Out Engineer – Dartford Project duration: Ongoing Job Type: Full time, temporary Site hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 9.5 hours paid You must have the Right to Work in the UK as we're unable to offer visa sponsorship! UKR Group is looking for an experienced Setting-Out Engineer to start ASAP in a job in Dartford, Kent. Responsibilities: * Accurately setting out line and level for all RC frame elements (columns, walls, slabs, cores). * Use of total stations, GPS, laser levels, and other surveying instruments. * Ensure benchmarks and control points are established and maintained. * Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs. * Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings. * Conduct checks on dimensions, levels, and tolerances. * Verify formwork, rebar, and concrete placement against design and industry standards. * Maintain and file site records and as-built drawings. * Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site safety regulations and method statements. To be successful for this Setting Out Engineer role you must have: * A recognised qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HNC, HND, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng) * Strong knowledge of RC frame construction methods. * Proof of right to work in the UK * Excellent attention to detail * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and site plans * Good spatial awareness and problem-solving ability * Checkable references from previous employers About you: * Strong knowledge of RC frame construction methods. * Good understanding of construction drawings and reinforcement detailing. * Proficient in setting out tools * Extensive construction experience across various project stages and environments * Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of budgets, cost control, and value engineering * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the site team * Proven technical expertise, including interpreting drawings, setting out, and using surveying equipment * A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of work * Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and deliver practical solutions under pressure If you feel that you have the right skills apply now
