A massively backed Manufacturer based in Worcestershire are looking for Quality Supervisor to join their growing Quality engineering team. You'll be coming into a business who are investing heavily, improving their facilities, have a strong order book, have strong financial backing and are constantly working to change and improve their culture. A strong Quality Manufacturing background with a good balance of hands on skills, strong quality toolbox and track record of developing and mentoring others would make the ideal candidate.
Job title: Production Quality Supervisor
Salary: up to GBP 50,000 per annum + great benefits package
Location: Worcestershire (commutable from North Birmingham, Droitwich, Worcester, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Kidderminster)
Responsibilities of the Production Quality Supervisor
: Lead and organise the Production Quality Assurance team to meet business needs.
: Be the main contact for all in:production quality issues and questions.
: Monitor and report key quality measures (e.g. defects, non:conformances) and drive corrective and preventive actions using root cause analysis.
: Make sure drawings, specifications and customer requirements are followed, including through regular product audits.
: Run and support material review boards to control and close out non:conformances quickly.
: Work closely with Operations, Supplier Quality and Project Quality to resolve issues and keep product flowing on time, to the right quality and cost.
: Support internal and external audits and help maintain EN9100 and other approvals.
: Coach, mentor and develop team members and wider operations staff in good quality practices.
Requirements of the Production Quality Supervisor
: At least 5 years' industry experience plus proven experience leading or managing people.
: A proven track record of success in a Manufacturing facility (ideally Aerospace, Automotive) Low/Mid Volume : High Value
: PPAP/APQP Knowledge ideal but not essential
: Strong problem:solving skills with experience of root cause analysis, corrective action and tools such as PFMEA, First Article Inspection and product audits.
: Clear, confident communicator who can set expectations, delegate, challenge and support others.
: Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for better ways of working and encouraging ideas from the shop floor
