Job Description
First… the part to impress you.
Timothy Armoo is a serial entrepreneur and author who built and sold Fanbytes for a multi eight-figure sum at 27. He now runs Legon Media - a content and media business which builds, scales and sells companies.
He has an audience of 750,000 people with the majority being founders, operators, and ambitious professionals globally. He’s also the author of a Penguin-published book What’s Stopping You which is slated to be one of Penguin's biggest books in 2026.
Now onto the important part.
The next phase is to build the most practical business media channel in the country. To do that, we’re hiring an executive assistant to help organise and create leverage for Timo.
You’d be his right-hand person making things happen as we scale across content, m&a, and marketing services.
This is an opportunity to get a front row seat in a rocketship, build your network, and work on genuinely meaningful projects.
What you’ll be responsible for
1. Hiring execution
* Write job descriptions from rough notes or past roles and get them live.
* Manage inbound applications, shortlist candidates, and book interviews.
* Keep hiring moving by chasing candidates and closing loops until a hire is made.
2. Speaker, podcast, and appearance management
* Filter inbound requests and decide which are worth pursuing vs declining.
* Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and prep for confirmed appearances.
* Maintain a live tracker of all speaking and podcast opportunities and their status.
3. Project planning and follow-through
* Turn decisions (acquisitions, new initiatives, partnerships) into clear project plans with milestones, owners, and timelines.
* Track progress weekly against those plans and update them as things change.
* Chase owners and surface risks or delays before they become problems.
4. Meeting ownership and accountability
* Create and maintain project plans for key initiatives from start to finish.
* Capture decisions and action items from meetings and assign clear owners and deadlines.
* Follow up on agreed actions until they are completed, not just acknowledged.
5. Diary, cadence, and logistics
* Build and enforce a weekly cadence (e.g. content planning, reviews, check-ins).
* Manage the calendar to protect focus, batch meetings, and remove low-value commitments.
* Coordinate travel, locations, and timing so everything runs without friction.
What we want you to have done before
* Supported a founder or senior leader in a fast-moving, founder-led business.
* Owned multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously and driven them to completion.
* Run hiring processes, scheduling, and follow-ups without needing close supervision.
What matters most in this role
* You take ownership and close loops.
* You turn messy input into clear action.
* You are organised, reliable, and direct.
