About Us Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd. Job Purpose - Practical Skills Supervisor Under the general guidance of lecturing staff the Practical Skills Supervisor will deliver practical sessions to groups of learners within a practical workshop and will provide support to lecturers by monitoring and assessing learner progress, providing guidance and support where required. Typically the Full time Practical Skills Supervisor will be timetabled for up to 1000 hours in each academic year for direct contact with learners and with a minimum of 500 hours per annum of class supervision in a practical workshop setting. There will be an entitlement to pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), which includes pro-rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro-rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro rata full time equivalent entitlement of 28 days (rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years continuous service) which is included in the hourly rate paid Pension Provider
