Responsibilities
* Support the smooth running of the housekeeping department, where all aspects of the guest experience are delivered to the highest levels.
* Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest inquiries and problem resolution.
* Assist with the assignment of rooms to housekeeping room operatives as instructed.
* Ensure bedrooms are inspected daily and are compliant with Company standards throughout, reporting all maintenance faults as soon as located to maintenance.
* Ensure that all hotel bedrooms, corridors and public areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
* Manage the housekeeping teams, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the departments.
* Support the Housekeeping Manager with departmental budgets, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, and that productivity and performance levels are attained.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key departments.
* Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, policies and procedures.
* Ensure consistently high operating standards in every area of Housekeeping, as identified by the hotels brand standards.
* Perform routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas.
* Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit; performing follow-up as required.
