Technical Engineer – Quality Assurance

Hours: 37.5 hours per week/ Days only
Job Overview
Teleios Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering manufacturer in Sheffield to recruit a Technical Engineer (Quality Assurance). The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the Quality Management System and ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and control all quality documentation and records
* Ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 9001 and AS9100
* Support the Technical & Quality Manager and Quality Supervisor
* Assist with continuous improvement and total quality initiatives
* Review and approve supplier and customer certification
* Prepare and issue Certificates of Conformity
* Maintain the NCR log and produce monthly analysis reports
* Chase and review supplier corrective action responses
* Monitor corrective and preventative actions
* Raise NCRs and liaise with Purchasing and Production Control where delivery or production is affected
* Liaise with customers regarding concessions, deviations, and non-conformances
* Carry out quality investigations to reduce cost of quality
* Maintain and update the calibration system
* Conduct internal audits to support QMS compliance
* Respond to technical engineering queries and customer requirements
* Create ITPs and MPQPs
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience in a Quality / Technical Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
* Experience managing NCRs and corrective actions
* Strong communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Word
* Experience with Q-Pulse, Stelplan/Stelplan+, or HES systems (desirable)
Qualifications
* Degree in Metallurgy or a related engineering discipline, or
* 2–3 years’ relevant industry experience
