A food business in Lancashire has created a new role in their NPD team to help launch more of their popular own-label products across ambient, chilled, and frozen categories. THE ROLE Theyve got ambitious plans with new product launches and relaunches across ambient, chilled, and frozen categories. The NPD Manager needs an extra pair of hands to help manage these projects through from concept to launch, making sure timelines are managed, launches stay on track and all teams are aligned throughout the process. Youll be involved in: Coordinating NPD launches across multiple product categories Managing timelines / critical paths Working closely with buying and technical teams Working with marketing to ensure brand identity, tone of voice, and messaging is consistent Supporting packaging, artwork and product approval processes Helping maintain product and marketing information across systems Supporting supplier communication and coordination Assisting with trend analysis, competitor reviews and range opportunities Identifying opportunities through competitor analysis and gap analysis Supporting marketing and brand activity around launches Getting involved in launch events, presentations, photo and video shoots Suggesting improvements to internal processes and ways of working ABOUT YOU You could come from a few different backgrounds for this one. Maybe youre currently working in: NPD, Buying, Category Management, Technical / Specification, Packaging, or even Brand/Marketing if youre involved in new product launches. You dont have to come from Food either - it would be helpful obviously! - but they have great technical and production teams and what matters most in this role is that you have experience supporting product launches or product lifecycles, are naturally organised and proactive, like variety and spinning multiple plates.
