The Faculty of Health, Wellbeing and Management is looking to recruit a permanent part time Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to deliver a range of programmes and courses within the Occupational Therapy curriculum area.
Temporary Bank Staff Opportunities - to supplement our permanent teams, we have a team of 'bank staff' who provide cover for planned and unplanned shortfalls in staffing, covering vacancies and staff absences as well as bringing specific required skills for short periods of time. We are seeking enthusiastic, driven staff that share our ethos and commitment to our students.
Staff within the team will contribute to the design, delivery, and assessment of engaging learning experiences for a diverse group of students at various levels, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment in Occupational Therapy, using a range of learning technologies to deliver face to face in person teaching and online distance learning teaching;
* Support students to improve engagement, retention, and success;
* Contribute to curriculum development and ensure course content remains current and relevant; and
* Participate in quality assurance activities and maintain professional knowledge through ongoing development.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will:
* You will be educated to SCQF Level 8 (HND or qualification of equivalent standard) or have relevant practice skills and direct experience of work in Occupational Therapy;
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to a wide range of student groups;
* Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously; and
* Have appropriate IT skills and be confident in using digital learning tools.
Salary: £41,833 to £50,359 per annum (pro rata)
