Mental Health Support Location: County Durham Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Monday to Friday) Temporary, long term Leader Education are seeking a motivated and dedicated Mental Health Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school, where you will play a key role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured learning environment. The school provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for pupils aged 11–16 who experience significant barriers to education, including permanent exclusion, risk of exclusion, or health-related challenges that prevent them from attending mainstream school. Through a structured, tiered programme of targeted interventions and personalised support, the school works to help pupils successfully reintegrate into their preferred mainstream setting or transition into the most suitable educational provision for their individual needs.
