Joining our vibrant Music Department, led by Mr A. J. Furniss, you will work within an inspiring setting that boasts several large halls, multiple practice rooms, and an impressive selection of musical instruments including two Steinway grand pianos and a number of Boston upright pianos. Piano is a popular instrument here at John Lyon and all students take exams using the ABRSM exam board.
John Lyon Senior School proudly supports over 20 Visiting Music Teachers (VMTs) and offers a rich programme of 20 plus music clubs and ensembles. Our facilities include a 130-seat Music Hall, numerous practice spaces, and cutting-edge Music Technology suites, ensuring a stimulating and dynamic teaching environment.
