SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Easingwold, North Yorkshire
Salary: £85 - £110 per day
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work at an Alternative Provision in Easingwold, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.
SEN Teaching Assistants Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of complex learning needs.
* Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans.
* Use non-verbal and alternative communication strategies to engage and support learners.
* Support class teachers in planning and delivering lessons and learning activities.
* Contribute to monitoring and assessing progress.
SEN Teaching Assistants Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK.
* Prior experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
* Holding a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* Have patience, empathy, and a positive approach to helping children.
* Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and techniques to manage challenging behavior is advantageous.
* Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
