We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Human Resources professional to join our team in London. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of English and Irish employment laws and processes, required hiring practices, and employment operations for processes for onboarding (joining) and terminations (leaving), who thrives in a global, people-first environment. You’ll be responsible for delivering efficient, accurate, and compliant HR services that support the full employee lifecycle.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Uphold and demonstrate company mission and values throughout interpersonal discourse, decision-making, manager coaching, and executive recommendations
* Escalates employee issues, contract issues and grievances to internal legal counsel and HR Manager as required by company. Engages outside consultants as directed by internal legal counsel and HR Manager.
* Serve as main point of contact for all, leave of absence and employee grievances while ensuring compliance labour laws
* Monitor the sick leave absence records, annual leave records, end of probationary periods, performance management plans and annual appraisal dates to advise managers as necessary and ensure that processes are in place for their correct storage and maintenance.
* Maintain oversight of monthly payroll changes, ensuring that the correct funding occurs, highlighting any funding issues to accounting and management team
* Work in tandem with training specialists to align employee skill development and training programs, and engagement activities
* Maintain and update HR systems, employee records, and compliance documentation in line with GDPR, IR35 and company policy
* Manage the joining process for all candidates for hire in our UK operations for all divisions, ensuring a seamless, accurate, and engaging experience across a geographically diverse business. Also manages leaving processes.
* Supports managers with business requirements, changes and handles any individual employee issues ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant employment regulations. Provide such guidance for escalated and unique situations that may arise related with professionalism and required confidentiality. Escalates such issues as required.
* Interact closely with their HR Manager and the CHRO to create impact across all HR regions and assist in the development and implementation of HR initiative.
* Partner with payroll, finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and timely processing of employee information
* Communicates eligible new hires with Benefits Broker/Administrator for opportunity to enroll in offered private health/supplemental insurances offered.
* Review company offered benefits and makes recommendations to Leadership, HR Manager, and CHRO for annual renewal periods. Keeps Accounting and Payroll updated with changes.
* Partner with and provide information to Employer of Record vendor(s), for individuals who are employed through them, yet performing work for our client. In addition, facilitates feedback paths to EORs and vendors of contingent work performance for their management/to address.
* Communicate with internal IT team for set up of company email and company equipment issuing and tracking. And coordinates leaving process with IT.
* Coordinate with our outside visa vendor for any current or upcoming visa holders in order to gain/maintain valid work visa status.
* Prepare and deliver required workforce reports and metrics to inform leadership and drive business results
* Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of English and Irish employment laws and processes, right-to-work requirements, GDPR, IR35 and HR compliance standards
* Hands‑on experience with new hire/joining practices, employee relations, and HR administration within the UK.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Demonstrated proficiency working with HRIS systems, and business software of Microsoft Office Suite – mastery of Excel, and Google Workspace required.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, and able to effectively multitask while operating in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong interpersonal skills: able to interact with clients and employees on all levels
* Capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a professional and consistent manner
Education & Experience
* 7+ years proven experience in an HR Generalist role within the UK
* CIPD qualification (Level 5 or higher) preferred
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Business Administration, Management, or related field
