Job Summary
We are seeking a young and enthusiastic Pizza Chef (Pizzaiolo) to join our vibrant kitchen team at Ciao in Bridge of Allan. Experience is essential The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on pizza-making techniques. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas using fresh ingredients and traditional methods.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
* Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as required.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
* Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Work schedule
Between 20-25 hours a week. 3 evenings a week with scope for 4. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. 3pm-9pm. Hourly rate: £20.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting as a pizza chef.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
