Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the restaurant’s daily operations, lead our team, and uphold our high standards of service and culinary excellence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in restaurant management and a deep appreciation for Chinese dining traditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, coach, and motivate staff to ensure outstanding performance and guest satisfaction.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Conduct regular training sessions on service etiquette, menu knowledge, and Chinese culinary traditions.
Operational Excellence
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including reservations, seating arrangements, and workflow efficiency.
Ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams for timely and flawless service.
Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain strict adherence to food quality, presentation, and service standards.
Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring a clean and safe dining environment.
Monitor and optimize inventory levels, minimizing waste while ensuring consistent supply availability.
Guest Experience & Event Coordination
Uphold the restaurant’s reputation by delivering personalized and attentive service.
Assist in planning and executing private events, banquets, and special functions.
Gather guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 2+ years in restaurant management (Chinese or high-volume dining preferred).
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, train, and inspire a diverse team.
Customer Focus: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality.
Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced setting.
Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a strong plus.
Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
