About your role
As a Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals with complex needs such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, challenging behaviours, physical disabilities, and Mental Health conditions.
Role Responsibilities
* Encourage the people we support to participate in activities or follow their interests, this will involve assisting them in the community as well as helping them to attend appointments.
* Assisting people to be as independent as they can, whether this be supporting them to learn to cook or prompting them to develop personal care skills
* Encourage the people we support to follow their personal planned strategies to maintain their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
* Ensure all records are update and procedures are followed at all times
Role Requirements
* A good communicator and listener
* A desire to support individuals with complex needs.
* Good basic comprehension of English language including basic literacy and numeracy skills.
* An ability to remain calm and level-headed even when faced with challenging behaviours.
* A commitment to constantly providing the highest standards of care for the people that we support.
