Lead and manage a substantial and complex client portfolio, assuming elevated levels of client responsibility and overseeing your team’s portfolios. Drive the achievement of ambitious revenue and profitability targets while further cultivating enduring client relationships. Inspire, mentor, and guide your team members through adept coaching, exceptional leadership, and professional development. Play an integral role in shaping and executing the firm’s strategic direction, steering its continued growth and development. Key Responsibilities: Lead and direct the preparation of periodic management accounts and annual statutory accounts for clients, providing strategic insights, best practice recommendations, and recommendations for partner review. Champion the growth and development of your team, serving as a mentor and providing daily support and guidance to foster their professional advancement. Operate seamlessly as both an independent contributor and a collaborative team player, ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service. Play a pivotal role in resource management for business advisory engagements throughout the year, collaborating closely with Partners and fellow senior managers to optimize client outcomes. Lead and facilitate strategic planning and closing meetings, guiding accounting teams throughout the entire business advisory cycle. Participate in and contribute to departmental planning, performance appraisals, and the mentorship of junior team members, collaborating with senior management to support their continued growth and success. In addition to the above responsibilities, as a Business Advisory Senior Manager, you will also lead and drive strategic initiatives, drive client advisory excellence, and champion professional development: Strategic Leadership and Business Development: Collaborate closely with senior management to define and execute the firm’s strategic initiatives, leveraging your expertise to drive growth, innovation, and client service excellence. Identify and capitalise on business development opportunities, contributing to the expansion of the firm’s client base and service offerings. Lead and participate in projects that leverage technology, process automation, and digital tools to optimise internal workflows and enhance client service delivery. Regulatory Compliance and Expertise: Maintain an expert understanding of accounting, and regulatory standards, ensuring the firm’s adherence to evolving requirements. Provide guidance to colleagues and clients on complex regulatory matters, offering insights into the implications of regulatory changes on financial reporting and practices. Conduct internal training sessions to educate team members on compliance best practices and assist them in navigating regulatory complexities. Client Advisory and Relationship Excellence: Cultivate and strengthen client relationships by offering strategic insights that address their evolving needs and challenges. Serve as a thought leader in implementing technological advancements to benefit clients’ businesses, showcasing your expertise in systems implementation and digitisation. Team Leadership and Professional Advancement: Nurture the growth of junior team members by mentoring, coaching, and providing guidance to empower them to excel in their roles and advance in their careers. Exemplify a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, inspiring team members to expand their skill sets and stay current with industry trends. Thought Leadership and Innovation: Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership initiatives by sharing insights on emerging trends, industry developments, and best practices. Collaborate with colleagues to identify innovative solutions that address client challenges and provide a competitive advantage for the firm. Fostering Firm Culture and Collaborative Excellence: Uphold and champion the firm’s values, culture, and collaborative spirit, participating in cross-functional teams and initiatives that drive positive change throughout the organisation. Engage in knowledge-sharing activities to disseminate best practices, tools, and methodologies that contribute to the firm’s overall growth and success. Qualifications and Experience : Thorough working knowledge of UK GAAP, particularly FRS102. ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent professional qualification. Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing client portfolios and coaching junior team members. Proven track record in driving business development, achieving revenue targets, and fostering lasting client relationships. Strong expertise in compliance, regulatory matters, and industry standards. Exceptional organizational and management skills, with the ability to lead teams and execute strategic initiatives.
