The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Sales & Business Development Manager to lead activity in the UK land, and air defence sectors. This role is a blend of new business generation and key account growth, covering the full sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals.
You’ll join a small but agile UK team, with support from international product, technical, and operations teams. The company has ambitious growth plans, and this role offers a clear path to take on more responsibility as the business expands.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Own the sales pipeline and targets for your region
* Manage and grow existing accounts through regular contact, visits, and support
* Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholders
* Prepare and coordinate bids, tenders, and proposals
* Work with HQ and product experts to develop tailored solutions
* Plan and deliver system demos and presentations
* Support contract negotiations and manage handover to delivery teams
* Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM updates, and reporting
* Build and manage a clear Sales Action Plan for your territory
* Collaborate with agents, partners, and integrators across the UK market
* Coordinate with technical teams and business units across Europe
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record in technical sales or business development (7+ years)
* Experience in defence, aerospace, or instrumentation sectors
* Strong understanding of public-sector procurement, MOD processes, or integrator sales channels
* Able to manage complex stakeholder environments
* Comfortable operating both independently and collaboratively
* Strong communication, planning, and strategic thinking skills
* Eligible for UK security clearance
* Bonus: background in electronics, navigation systems, or ex-forces experience
