Job Opportunity: School Catering Assistant
We have a permanent vacancy at Glenwood High School in Glenrothes, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 2:30pm, on a 38-week term-time contract.
* Position: Catering Assistant at Glenwood High School - 30 hours/week, 38-week contract
The role involves preparing food and beverages, organizing the service of food, transporting and serving meals, as well as general kitchen and dining room duties such as washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables, and cleaning the kitchen and surrounding areas. You will also be responsible for completing required paperwork, including electronic returns.
You will earn a competitive salary of £22,525.71 pro-rata and will have access to a range of benefits, including:

This position is focused on ensuring pupils and staff are provided with meals during the school day, including Breakfast, Morning Break, and Lunch.
The Person
Do you have catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or an equivalent?
Before starting, you will need to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant PVG scheme.
