The Role:
Hampshire Trading Standards is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and customer-focused officer to join our Business Planning and Development team.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering our trusted trader scheme, Buy With Confidence (BWC), and support other chargeable services operated by Trading Standards. The BWC scheme promotes fair, honest, and legal businesses, helping consumers choose vetted and approved traders, thereby avoiding rogue traders.
You will engage with the public and/or work in a commercial environment, liaising with customers and stakeholders, providing advice, guidance, and signposting to resolve enquiries effectively at first contact. A focus on delivering streamlined services, retaining scheme members, and attracting new ones is essential.
