Yard Operative
Adwick le Street, Doncaster
The Yard Operative role is mainly to image and grade vehicles accordingly and preparing for inventory. Keeping vehicle flow moving efficiently and safely.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Yard Duties
1. Clean vehicles and remove any rubbish as necessary to ensure high quality images
2. Ensuring quality control every step of the way with no damage to vehicles or parts
3. Maintain and take ownership of general housekeeping within your selected functional and customer facing area and manage to a high standard to create a safe and streamline environment
4. Ensure all personal effects and documents are disposed of correctly following GDPR rules
5. Complete any training requirements for the role
6. General yard duties
Imaging & Grading Duties
7. Responsible for parts inventory of breakers, imaging and grading of panels and parts for our sales channels
8. Ensure vehicles are brought by an FLT to designated Inventory / Image areas
9. Inventory parts on vehicle and image using the PDA inventory matrix
10. Grade parts and image using Company guidelines
11. Ensure that a video is taken of the engine of it starting, running and showing exhaust to show any infringements
12. Removed parts to be cleaned, tagged, imaged and packed and be ready for sending to despatch or warehouse
Inventory & Destickering Duties
13. Supporting with processing stock inventory
14. Destickering (taking stickers off vehicles) in line with client agreements and compliance
15. Maintaining the highest health & safety standards within work environment
16. Supporting GDPR & Salvage Personal Belonging Team with GDPR compliance & contractual SLA’s.
