Overview
The Senior SEO Content Executive is responsible for supporting the Content Manager to implement Ripe's SEO Content strategy, as well as helping to oversee the delivery of a wide range of SEO-led content under the Ripe product umbrella.
Responsibilities
* Create engaging SEO-led content for product pages, blogs and newsletters that aligns with the SEO strategy for each Ripe product and wider business objectives.
* Ensure that all content produced is correctly optimised for the relevant target keywords (i.e., in the main body, meta descriptions, alt text, and image names).
* Work with freelance copywriters, providing them with briefs and managing the relationship.
* Review, edit and proofread work from freelancers and junior members of the team, from an SEO and editorial perspective.
* Accountable for CMS management for SEO, such as publishing and editing content across several websites and ensuring it meets the in-house style requirements.
* Support the Content Manager with planning and managing the rolling content schedule in terms of keyword research, topic ideation and seasonal content planning.
* Conduct GAP analysis and content audits on key product areas or blogs for new and existing SEO opportunities.
* Plan, produce and execute monthly newsletters to policyholders and prospects.
* Assist with the planning and management of SEO and content projects, including new product launches, technical projects and website migrations.
* Monitor and analyse content performance using SEO and analytics tools, providing the content manager with a weekly update on the performance of supporting content with actionable insights and recommendations.
* Conduct monthly keyword research and competitor keyword reviews using SEMrush and Ahrefs, providing the Content Manager with key topics and trends that help drive the content strategy for selected products.
* Produce monthly reports on content performance using data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEMrush.
* Complete content audits as required.
* Keep on top of search trends.
* Work closely with Digital PR and Social to collaborate and ensure content is aligned.
* Build strong relationships across the Marketing team to ensure content strategy aligns with marketing strategy, business objectives, and seasonality.
* Work effectively and collaboratively as part of the Marketing team, communicating ideas in team meetings and suggesting areas for improvement.
* Work with the in-house design team, producing creative briefs for a variety of jobs, including visuals to support blog posts.
FCA Consumer Duty Responsibilities
* Products and Services Ensure that marketing content, communications and campaigns accurately represent the features and benefits of insurance products, providing customers with clear, accurate and transparent information about our products and services and are not misleading.
* Price and Value Collaborate with the underwriting and product team to ensure that all marketing materials provide transparent and accurate information about pricing, ensuring customers understand the value they receive.
* Consumer Understanding Develop marketing content that simplifies insurance terminology and complex concepts, aiding customers' understanding of their coverage and policy terms in order to manage their insurance needs effectively.
* Consumer Support Work with customer service teams to create seamless experiences, ensuring customers can easily find and access support, answers to queries and resolution of concerns.
* Ensuring Fair Customer Treatment Implementing measures to monitor and ensure fair treatment of customers throughout their journey, from initial engagement to claims handling and post-purchase interactions.
Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years experience working in SEO/similar role.
* Proven ability to effectively implement SEO principles, onsite keyword optimisation, and other related digital marketing tactics as demonstrated by improved search rankings and traffic.
* An experienced copywriter having written content for a variety of purposes across different sectors and industries.
* Credible performance in researching, drafting, and publishing diverse online content, such as product pages and on-site copy, blogs, newsletters, and press releases, evidenced by a robust portfolio.
* Able to conduct keyword GAP analysis to identify new and existing content opportunities.
* Demonstrable experience in content marketing, reporting, and strategy.
* Basic knowledge of heading elements, image coding, and linking best practices.
* Good understanding of the marketing challenges faced by e-commerce companies.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in supporting and contributing to the overall SEO content strategy.
* Experience working in an agency role.
* Presenting and pitching to key business stakeholders.
* Proven background in an e-commerce role within a sport-related field or financial services.
Technology Requirements
* Essential: Previous experience of using SEMrush, Ahrefs or a keyword monitoring tool.
* Extensive experience of using Content Management Systems.
* Experience of working with various Office products e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
* Desirable: Knowledge of AI Search Engines and how they work.
* Experience producing multimedia content.
* Knowledge of basic HTML.

Education
* Essential: A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English.
* Educated to 'A' level or other equivalent professional qualification.
* Desirable: A masters in an appropriate discipline e.g. Marketing, Journalism, English.
