Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong numerical and analytical skills to join our Finance team in London, as part of the Cubico apprenticeship programme. This role will initially be on a two-year placement basis, with a view to potentially continuing with the business in a permanent role following the successful completion of your studies. As part of your Cubico apprenticeship, you will work alongside qualified accountants and finance professionals who will support your development, while studying towards an accounting qualification. Key Responsibilities: The Cubico Groups London based Corporate Finance Team comprises reporting & control, taxation, treasury, insurance & risk and internal audit disciplines. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role will primarily be responsible for supporting the accounts payable and employee expense processes, as well as assisting with other ad-hoc tasks and projects. Additionally, it offers the opportunity to gain broader experience working within a high-performing, multi-disciplinary finance team. You will be involved with the processing and payment of supplier invoices, processing employee expense claims, communicating with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers and having hands-on experience of Cubicos finance systems and business processes. In conjunction with your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be offered time off work to study towards a professional finance qualification: Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), which will be funded by the Company as part of your Apprenticeship. Accounts Payable: Accurate processing of supplier invoices, ensuring they are valid and correctly coded to the appropriate financial budget codes; Invoice payment processing, ensuring all invoices are appropriately authorised in accordance with Cubicos internal controls and settled within supplier credit terms; Maintaining records of invoices and expenses in soft copy; Maintaining accounts payable supplier records; Preparing reconciliation of payables ledger to vendor statements; Employee expense management: Administrative role for the Cubico Groups Expense Management System (EMS) (creating/closing user accounts, updating user details, monitoring automated bank feeds etc.) Extracting and importing monthly credit card statements; Importing monthly travel statements; Posting monthly bank transactions; Extracting and importing monthly expense statements; Maintaining expense vendor accounts, ensuring employees submit expense reports/claims in a timely manner. Quarterly Expense Reporting to Senior Management Other: General & Administrative (G&A) reporting Bank reconciliations; Undertake ad-hoc projects around the finance team and group to drive improvements; Person Specification: This position is ideal for a recent school or education leaver.
