A long-established manufacturing and fabrication business is seeking a skilled Dimensional Quality Inspector to join its quality and inspection team. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet required specifications, standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities of a Dimensional Quality Inspector :
* Carry out detailed dimensional inspections on fabricated and machined components
* Verify components against engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements
* Perform in-process and final inspections throughout the production cycle
* Use a range of precision measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
* Identify, record, and report non-conformances and inspection results
* Support root cause investigations and corrective actions where required
* Liaise with production and quality personnel to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards
Skills & Experience of a Dimensional Quality Inspector Required:
* Demonstrated experience in a Dimensional or Quality Inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* High level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection tasks
* Ability to work independently and manage inspection priorities
Highly Regarded:
* Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), particularly:
* Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
* Dye Penetrant Testing (Dye Pen)
* Current or previous NDT certifications
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4pm- Friday: 6am – 12.30pm
