Job Description
1. Total ownership of month ends close, including analyzing adequacy of accruals, organizing a depositing journal entry, and preparing month end financial reports.
2. Supervisory responsibility over Accounts Payable Function
3. Oversee and organize tax reporting to various state agencies
4. Resource for GAAP knowledge of accounting for Cash, Prepaids, A/R, Fixed Assets, Inventory, A/P, Accrued Expenses, Debt, and Equity
5. Internal controls processes and documentation
6. Coordinate with internal departments including operations, training, communications, IT, marketing, construction, and HR
7. Assist with management of annual audit process
8. Build positive and effective relationships with partners, peers, and management
9. Liaise to business controlling teams for financial accounting and reporting support
10. Support process improvements over general accounting and transactional areas
11. Understand Corporate objectives and liaise with business and other Finance discipline units on execution
12. Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

The Successful Applicant
13. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
14. CPA preferred
15. 6+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
16. Consumer products industry and/or manufacturing experience is preferable.
17. Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to interact, influence and align with all levels of the organization, both internal and external
18. Highly motivated and collaborative with a willingness to learn
19. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
20. Ability to be flexible, multi-task, have strong organizational, communication and leadership skills to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
21. Proficiency with software packages (ERP's) and MS applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
22. Strong analytical and technical accounting skills required, including understanding of US GAAP, various financial systems and processes, and internal controls.
23. Capability to meet the business requirements of a diversified internal customer base, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, IT, procurement, Corporate, and Divisions.
24. Ability to focus on business and accounting process improvements and integration.
25. Aptitude to work independently, deal with multiple job assignments and possess the initiative to resolve issues.
