Job Overview
MLCSU Procurement provides clinical and non-clinical procurement services to ICBs within our geographic footprint. We have a team of approximately 27 procurement professionals and successfully achieved CIPS Corporate Accreditation standards in 2019 and 2023.
We are currently seeking a motivated and highly experienced procurement professional for a six-month Fixed Term contract as a Procurement Manager at Band 8a. The role involves managing complex procurement projects and supporting larger projects under the supervision of the Senior Procurement Manager for NHS Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB).

Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate should be resilient, detail-oriented, and positive. A strong understanding of public sector procurement, including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and its replacement PA2023, as well as Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, is essential.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and people management skills are required. Membership of CIPS (MCIPS) or significant progress toward MCIPS is expected, with a commitment to complete certification promptly. The role covers a broad geographic area, primarily Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICB.
Working for Our Organization
Our hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. This role is agile, involving remote work and occasional onsite meetings mainly in Staffordshire. We are committed to staff development and offer various learning opportunities.
