Overview
The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London. As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team assisting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. This is a store-based role in the UK; remote applicants will not be considered and applications from candidates outside the UK will not be progressed unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.
Responsibilities
* Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions).
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
* Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
* Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
* Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
Working with evolving technologies within store, you will have the opportunity to work with new systems that help develop dispensing processes to improve patient safety and free up time to spend with patients. Regular updates and training will develop your healthcare knowledge, with career development options including training as a Pharmacy Technician or as part of the store leadership team.
What you’ll need to have
* Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
* Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
