Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a secondary school in Teesside to recruit an inspirational and committed Performing Arts Teacher for a role starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative educator who is passionate about nurturing talent and confidence through the performing arts.
This is a full teaching role, with responsibility for planning, preparation, delivery and assessment, and would suit both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.
The Role
As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging, high-quality Performing Arts lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and school expectations
Inspire students’ creativity, self-expression and performance skills
Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, rehearsals and productions
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Has experience teaching Performing Arts in a secondary school setting
Is confident in behaviour management and able to engage and motivate a range of learners
Is organised, proactive and committed to full teaching responsibilities, including marking and assessment
Has a genuine passion for the performing arts and for inspiring young people
