Location: Wrexham, UK
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
* Manage the Discretionary Assistance Fund (DAF) for the Welsh Government, awarding clients with cash, grants, and goods to those in financial hardship.
* Verify and process grant applications against set criteria.
* Assist customers via phone, online, and email.
* Act as the first point of contact for applicants and system administrator for NEC systems.
* Process emergency payments and grants, managing data efficiently.
* Liaise with applicants, verify eligibility, and gather information directly and from additional sources.
* Understand legislation and criteria for grant awards and process applications accordingly.
* Deal with correspondence and inquiries professionally in both English and Welsh.
* Contribute to team targets and act as a key deliverer of the DAF contract.
Qualifications
Conversational level Welsh language skills.
