Job Description
Court Registry Officer, Christchurch
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
As a Court Registry Officer, you will work with a team responsible for the successful operation of the Court. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders, including defendants, witnesses, family members, Oranga Tamariki, Lawyers, and Police Officers. You will be able to communicate confidently with Judges within the courtroom and their chambers, as well as other members of the judiciary.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
* Court Taking – Facilitate the smooth operation of the Court, including introducing Judges (in English and Te Reo Māori), working closely with them in the Courtroom and Chambers, managing jurors, and general administration of the Court.
* Customer Service – Answer customer queries via face-to-face, phone, or email interactions at the onsite customer service area or hub.
* Case Management – Ensure files are accurate and up to date, involving a large component of data entry.

* Self-aware – confident working individually and in teams across various situations.
* Able to multi-task – manage conflicting priorities and switch tasks efficiently.
* Willing to learn – adapt to changing legislation and court processes.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The salary range is $59,729 to $80,794, based on skills and experience.
