Coatings & Welding Inspector – Onshore & Offshore
£530 per day (outside IR35) + accommodation + 14on/14off Rotation + November start date + min 12-month contract (rolling)
Coatings & Welding Inspector responsibilities include:
* Provide independent inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction onshore & offshore.
* Provide detailed reports following inspections & quality control.
* Equipment includes pressure / piping equipment and other mechanical items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards, and regulations.
* Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation, and review of LTQRs.
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
Coatings & Welding Inspector profile:
* An experienced Engineer of min 10yrs with at least 3-5yrs experience in coatings inspections and the inspection of welded fabrications / manufactured equipment (NDT & material control)
* Experience working on a sub-station / convertor station (Wind)
* Ideally current GWO / HUIT / OGUK Medical & Chester Step required
* Sound understanding and qualification in Materials, Welding & NDE techniques
* CSWIP 3.1/3.2 required
* NACE / BGAS / ICORR (Coatings) required
* Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high hazard industries / COMAH sites or similar.
* Ability to work successfully in a team, providing technical guidance & support
