Base Location: Inverness
Salary: £30,600 - £46,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
This is a service engineer role and the job role requires working core operational hours from 8AM to 5PM. Additionally there are occasions to work outside normal working hours.

The role
Our Group Security and Investigation team plays an important part in helping to protect SSE’s people, sites and assets.
As a Security Systems Service Engineer, you’ll support the Engineering team across the north of Scotland, carrying out routine maintenance, responding to service requests, assisting with smaller installation projects and supporting major projects.
You will
* Carry out routine maintenance and respond to service requests at SSE sites within your allocated area.
* Support Area Managers with smaller security installation projects when needed as well as supporting major projects by witnessing commissioning activities and confirming handover acceptance.
* Identify and resolve faults in security systems and assist with system upgrades where required.
* Work collaboratively with other engineers to resolve more complex issues.
* Take part in a standby rota to provide support across the southern region when required.
You have
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to your work.
* The ability to stay calm and make sound decisions when responding to issues.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft applications and security system software.
* Experience working with security systems such as CCTV and access control (installation and maintenance).
* A flexible approach to travel, with the ability to occasionally work away from home if required.
Please note you will be required to hold a valid UK driving licence for this role.
