We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work at heights while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Duties
* Install roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, and flat roofs, according to specifications.
* Repair and replace damaged roofing materials to maintain structural integrity.
* Fabricate components as needed for specific roofing projects.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
* Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely on-site.
* Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
* Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding project progress.
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working at heights or in hazardous conditions.
Experience
* Previous experience in roofing or a related field is preferred.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
* Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, masonry, or other construction skills is beneficial.
* Ability to understand and work from schematics is essential.
* A strong commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
